Employment liability is the risk that your business assumes based on the alleged conduct of (and against) your employees, former employees, and EVEN those you never employed (just interviewed). This conduct may be related to hiring and firing, promotions, workplace safety, employee organizing, discrimination complaint processes, and investigations.

Merely having an employee handbook and policies are often not sufficient for reducing your business’s exposure to that liability.
